I have a story to tell you about the Disney version of Beauty and the Beast.
I don’t have time now for it, as I’m baking zucchini and making brussel sprouts with bacon (they’re DELICIOUS), but it has to do with a very lonely and unhappy 12-year-old version of Lisa, who only got through the first half of her first year of high school by watching the damn movie, at the cinema, 13 times, 11 of those with her mum (who was also having a really shit first half of that year and who also found it therapeutic).
Actually, that’s the story in a nutshell, and I don’t have to tell you the rest. But it’s still a great movie, 20 years on.
Either way, this song is bloody hilarious and you all have to watch it
UPDATE: OK, apparently I need to explain that I wasn’t some poor, lonely picked-on kid who had a horrible high school experience. My high school experience was fine. I just had trouble making friends when I first arrived at my high school because a) I was very shy, and b) my class was full of people I was never going to make friends with in a million years. From memory, mostly boring types, low on the grey cells and high on the tennis lessons. I started meeting people from other classes, though, about half-way through the year, after I relaxed a little, and then I was fine.
