Watermelon surprise

My garden had, until this evening, three watermelons growing in it, despite the autumn-ness of the weather. Two were attached to withered, dead vines and I finally cracked it and picked them tonight, to check to see what I’d find.

I expected rotting, or dried-up white crappiness. I was pleasantly surprised:

It was even tasty. I gave some to mum and made juice with the rest.
